Parents and educators: This is coming to Minnesota this fall if we don’t stand against it now!
The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) is a governor-appointed board involved in the licensing of all teachers in Minnesota in both public and private schools. This board holds teacher employment captive: essentially saying you will demonstrate that you will teach these things or you will have no job.
What do they say our teachers need to demonstrate? See the commentary below.
Teachers must demonstrate a Marxist worldview to obtain their teaching license – CPL Action
This licensing board overrides the state legislature, school boards, administrators, parents, and teachers, and decides what your children should learn via teacher licensing. If the board passes these standards, your children and family will not be able to get away from this Marxist worldview (short of homeschooling or moving out of the state). If you are a teacher and don’t agree with this worldview, you won’t be able to avoid it anymore if you want to keep your Minnesota teaching license.

PELSB Virtual Hearing
Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 9:00pm
PELSB is proposing amendments to Minnesota Rules, chapter 8710. Chapter 8710 contains the state’s licensure rules for teachers, including the requirements to obtain and renew teaching licenses and permissions. Additionally, chapter 8710 contains the required pedagogical standards (“Standards of Effective Practice”) for teachers and license-specific standards.
PELSB has scheduled a virtual hearing on the proposed changes to the rules for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Hearing Details tab gives information on how to participate in the hearing. See the link below.
Contact Governor Walz and tell him what you think about the licensing board’s rule changes. He’s the one that appointed them. (And don’t forget this is an election year for him.)
